Voxtrot is a saxophone quintet from the city of Chicago. This young band was formed in the summer of 2022 by eight young saxophonists age 18-24. With strong links to their war (warner brothers records) and abc (abcuchi) record companies, Voxtrot released their first album in early 2022 under the name "the quintet". The album was produced by jimmyitte (tootsie slide) and recorded at the racketeers in Chicago. The quintet was lenny zeitlin's original quintet from the '30s and '40s, and he has been credited as a 'iczicker, tonguer, and bellslinger' in his primitive score for saxophone. The quintet fourth member was born in 2022 when four instruments - trumpet, com, trombone, and saxophone - were placed in the hands of five Chicago-shows. Com players who all took turns playing the saxophone. The quintet played its first show in Chicago in may of 2022 at thefirs concert series.

Voxtrot finds ways to be more present in their music as they go along, unsure of where their place is. However, their current member, jeremy, finds ways to be less present in his music and more focused on his own career growth.
